Recently, a veterinary clinic shared a heartwarming story about a homeless dog in Turkey that desperately carried her unconscious puppy to the clinic’s doorstep, seemingly begging for help.
If it weren’t for the viral video captured by surveillance cameras, many would have thought the story too touching to be true. This incredible incident occurred at a veterinary clinic in Istanbul’s Beylikdüzü district. On January 13th, an animal lover brought in a stray puppy he found on the street, mentioning it was the sole survivor of its litter. As the clinic staff began treating the puppy, the mother dog suddenly appeared at the doorstep carrying another puppy who was unconscious.
Surveillance footage from inside the clinic shows the anxious mother dog following closely behind the veterinarians as they rushed to save her puppy, which was suffering from severe hypothermia and had a critically low pulse. Thankfully, veterinarian Dr. Baturalp Oğan and his team managed to save the little pup, and now the entire family is recovering at the clinic.
“So far, everything is going well. The treatment for the puppies will continue a bit longer. Currently, we’re not allowing visitors due to their health condition,” Dr. Oğan said. “The mother dog is also recovering. Her story touched many hearts. She’s very intelligent and caring, showing incredible motherly love.”
